Well 2007 is almost over so that Blog will start with a short list about 2007. It was not only a good year for me it was also a good year for gaming and games. Not only is next generation finally current generation also there where a lot of good games. Besides from that there where some surprises Bizzare Creation was bought by Activision, Bioware and Pandemic where bought by EA, Bungie went independent plus at the end of the year the merge between Vivendi and Activsion to form Activision Blizzard. So there should be a lot going in 2008, but for the moment here are my personal 2007 games list.
Game of the year: Portal and the Orange Box (runners-up Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Crysis and Mass Effect)
PC: Crysis (runners-up Orange Box and C&C Tiberium Wars)
Wii: Super Mario Galaxy (runners-up Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles)
PS2: God of War 2 (runners-up Guitar Hero 3 and Final Fantasy 12)
PS3: Uncharted Drakes Fortune (runners-up Warhawk and Rachet and Clank Tools of Destruction)
Xbox 360: Mass Effect (runners-up Assassins Creed and Bioshock)
PSP: Wipeout Pulse (runners-up Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops and Rachet and Clank Size matters)
DS: Phantom Hourglass (runners-up All Brain games and Children of Mana)
Disappointments of the year: Halo 3 (mediocre gameplay, graphics and story), Home and Little Big Planet delayed to 2008, GTA 4 delayed to 2008, Assassins “Bug” Creed (but still a nice game even on the PS3 with the bugs), to many games got lower rating then they would deserve (i.e. Heavenly Sword, Assassins Creed, Lair [it's really not that bad], Kane and Lynch and many more)
Looking forward in 2008: Metal Gear Solid 4, GTA 4, Alan Wake, Gran Turismo 5, Home, Little Big Planet and new big deals between some companys.
Happy new year.
